Welcome to WORKBAY, a Pan-African Job Board and Freelance Marketplace connecting job seekers, freelancers, employers, and clients for Jobs, Projects, Gigs, and Micro Tasks. By accessing or using WORKBAY, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms:

By creating an account or using WORKBAY, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding agreements. Your continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of these Terms, including any future updates.

2. User Accounts & Responsibilities:

Users must provide accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information during registration and while using the platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You agree not to upload harmful, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive content.

Any activity carried out under your account is your responsibility.

3. Platform Role

WORKBAY is a digital platform that connects people but does not:

🔸employ freelancers or job seekers,

🔸guarantee job placements or project results,

🔸oversee contracts between users,

🔸control user behaviour or choices,

🔸verify every posting or profile.

All contracts, negotiations, payments, and outcomes are solely between users.

4. Job Listings, Projects & User Content:

Employers and clients must ensure that job posts or project listings are genuine, legal, and clearly described.

Job-seekers must submit accurate proposals and deliver work professionally.

WORKBAY may remove any content that violates the platform’s standards or appears harmful, misleading, or fraudulent.

5. Payments & Transactions:

Payments for services or gigs must be completed through the platform’s approved payment methods when available.

WORKBAY is not responsible for losses resulting from off-platform or unauthorized payments.

Users are encouraged to keep all communication and transactions within WORKBAY for security and dispute handling.

6. Fees & Charges:

WORKBAY charges fees for posting jobs, projects, gigs, completing projects, or using certain features.

All fees will be clearly shown before payment.

Fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

7. Disputes Between Users:

Any dispute between freelancers, job seekers, employers, or clients must first be addressed directly between the parties involved.

WORKBAY may provide guidance but is not responsible for resolving disputes or enforcing agreements.

8. Prohibited Activities:

Users must NOT:

🔸post false, illegal, or harmful jobs,

🔸upload viruses or malicious software,

🔸harass, scam, or mislead others,

🔸attempt to hack or disrupt the platform,

🔸impersonate any person or organization.

Any violation may result in account suspension or removal.

9. Intellectual Property:

All WORKBAY designs, logos, content, and technology belong to WORKBAY and may not be copied, distributed, or used without permission.

Users retain ownership of the content they upload but grant WORKBAY permission to display it on the platform.

10. Privacy & Data Protection:

Your personal data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell user data.

Information may be used to improve platform services.

By using WORKBAY, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described.

11. Limitation of Liability

WORKBAY is not responsible for:

🔸failed job matches,

🔸lost earnings,

🔸fraudulent user activity,

🔸delayed payments,

🔸or any damages resulting from platform use.

12. Termination of Use:

WORKBAY may suspend or terminate accounts that:

🔸violate these Terms,

🔸engage in illegal or harmful activity,

🔸misuse the platform.

Users may also close their accounts at any time.

13. Changes to Terms:

WORKBAY may update these Terms to improve security, services, or compliance.

Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law:

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of your country of residence within Africa, unless otherwise required by regional regulations.
